After completing her studies at an English convent school in Bavaria, Gabriele Akar decided to train as an audiovisual businesswoman and later successfully worked in the executive secretary’s office at Airbus in Hamburg. She completed her studies at Oxford and at the SAE Institute headquarters in Berlin, where she qualified as a producer in digital animation and film production. These diverse experiences and the discipline of her training now enable her to comprehensively understand the perspectives of engineers, executives, and investors.

Gabriele Akar emphasizes that her school days continue to have a positive impact on her today and were a “school of life” that had a greater impact on her personal and professional development than any subsequent professional experiences.

At the same time, the experienced consultant with extensive expertise in corporate management, corporate governance, and strategic management serves as Chair of the Board of Directors of Akar International AG. Her focus is on supporting holding companies in strategic decision-making, managing risks, and promoting sustainable growth. In her role, Gabriela Akar works closely with investors and shareholders to ensure that the holding company’s investments and activities align with long-term corporate objectives and stakeholder expectations. By analyzing the performance of subsidiaries, she contributes to portfolio structuring and identifies new growth opportunities.
